package redesign sketches 2.

my thoughts of where to move forward.
I really like the idea of the lime, ice cube and orange for the bottle...so I'm going to try hard to work with those. I'm also trying to continue with the idea of the name as a smaller, but central focus. And we shall see where else these next and final 15 directions leave me. :)

notes from me.
I really struggled with trying to "advertise"/push the gin on the audience via logos+pathos. I couldn't figure out how to best express those ideas. here's to hope it smooths out better in time.

post meeting with Sir Galloway notes+decisions.
mainly, it was decided that I should try to push away a bit from typography and try to embrace more imagery, (as most of the ideas shown were typography placed, which is OK, but to also explore imagery).

text from New Amsterdamn's website explaining the company.
Before New York was New York, it was New Amsterdam. Now, the essence of the city has been distilled into the classic New York spirit - smooth enough to enjoy straight, distinctive enough to hold its own in any cocktail. Smoother by design, New Amsterdam spirits break from tradition with spirits that are modern, intriguing and smooth. Welcome to New Amsterdam. So smooth you can drink it straight.

text from New Amsterdam's website explaining the gin.
"From its modest origin, to the centerpiece of the perfect martini, gin is a legend nearly 400 years in the making. Today, New Amsterdam Gin takes a modern approach to this classic spirit. Every gin begins as a neutral, colorless spirit base. Intrigue arises when juniper and as many as 20 botanicals are added. The recipe combinations are infinite. No two gins are alike. And, no gin is like New Amsterdam. New Amsterdam Gin is crafted with botanicals, citrus elements and a light touch of juniper to create an unparalleled, smooth taste. A taste so smooth you can drink it straight."
