package redesign. the final.

The key concept for this focused around changing the brand’s current mode of appeal, which was ethos to logos. The intent was to focus on the informational and logical structure of the package, making the name less of a focal point, but rather the recipe and specific type of alcohol. I kept the Empire State Building as part of the design, but created the building with solid colored lines set at various heights. I kept the classic and elegant style of the initial design by using a mainly black design with an accent color for the specific type of alcohol.

all of the twist-off bottle caps.

angled shot to show the color on insides to further differentiate alcohol types.

  1. - what is the primary mode of appeal?
    logos

    - what is the meaning embedded in the design? is it clear?
    I think that the imagery used imitates New York well.

    - how refined and professional is the imagery, type, hierarchy, composition, and color?
    I like the type on the front, the numbers are really strong and bold and doesn't overwhelm the front. the building on the back is nice and i think it was a good idea to make it out of lines because it makes your eyes look up and down the bottle. Also there is nice contrast with the color on each bottle with the black background.

    - how cohesive is the system?
    All three bottles look like they are apart of the same brand.

    - how well does this work consider the dimensionality of the product?
    I think the work uses the fact that its on glass very well because of the line pattern you can only see if you look through the glass on the sides.

    - what is the level of physical craft on the products? digital craft of the photos?
    the craft on the photos are nice and look professional and besides a few glue marks the craft on the bottles is nice as well.
