reading response: Call of Duty/Collaboration's Biggest Fan

the article can be found here.
Collaborating can be difficult, but also one of the most rewarding experiences. I think what comes natural for many people, especially after a series of previous bad collaborative projects, we move forward with this negative connotation of what collaboration means. It really takes dedication on all sides of collaboration to help dispel this initial reaction to it.

basic facts to keep in mind.

Honesty really is the best policy. Look at the end product, don’t get stuck up on who did what portion of it. Realize that no group can get to the end of a project without influencing each other; by being able to keep open communication between our partner(s) we leave ourselves the best option(s) to not only meet our expectations but also excel. Never negatively comment on brainstorming or partner work. By keeping the atmosphere positive, we allow the ability for open discussion and seemingly random ideas to become the best possible solution for the project.
