the main thing that I walked away with was the idea that I need to look a lot more in depth at classical layout/books. most specifically I need to look at the relation between images, text and spacing on the pages. so off to more research and changing the hierarchy in the pages so that the text becomes so beautiful the reader don't even question it. He said to look into Stanley Morrison, Eric Gill and Beatrice Warde.
