spatial. process post 02.

This past week, we looked into materials, researched more, constructed a paper mock up of a Landing Craft Tank (LCT) and finalized our location. We ran into some issues figuring out what would represent the LCT. Kim found a paper model of an LCT online. We then cut out the pieces and put Kim’s savvy intuitive construction skills to work attempting to recreate the LCT based on images of the finalized LCT.

Location wise we chose someone near the KAW Point, because of the current monument that is there for Lewis + Clark. KAW Point is where the LCTs used to be placed in the water to be sent down the river. The Darby Steel Corporation’s property used to be near KAW Point, with its launching site at KAW Point. We wanted to stay close to KAW Point as our main focus is historical + educational.

Assistant Professor told us to think more about construction time + prices for our final monument construction. So, this weekend we will be thinking more about what would be the most efficient way to create our final product. We also need to buy more materials to recreate the area and experience.
