Below is the closest yet rendering of the cross-platform media of Resound. We acknowledge that we still have more work to do to make it an adequately cohesive system. Between this version + the last one that was presented in class, we aimed to create more clarification between different users + platforms, but know there still is prime opportunity for more refinement. Throughout the process, I believe that our own personal high standards were reoccurring places of frustration. Not only do the three of us have high standards, but we also have different areas that we place those standards. Also, working in a group of three was difficult as we all had different work habits and design styles. The resulting video hopefully represents the three of us in some format.

indie culture. the final class presentation video.
This was my group's final video presentation for class today. We now that we still have a bunch of changes to make to this video to make it better. We ran into more issues as this project continued, so we have things that we need to change and plan on it.

indie culture. recording process.
We ran into some difficulties of figuring out where to record due to other noises that were going on at the same time, i.e. the heater or other sources of noise. We ended up using a white box and put our narrator within the box to record via one of our MacBookPros. The sound came out fairly well + we were happy to have found a good solution.

indie culture. speculative video take 1.
This video shooting was definitely a new experience for me. I thought we were on the right track with making notes on the wall of where to touch, to correspond to the touchscreen technology, but ended up with a bunch of issues + a bit of a headache. The need to film at the not stereotypical angle of straight on, also became a large issue for mocking up the technology. I think that the best thing to do now is to reshoot the video, with the gestures on a green screen + a solid static wall photograph. I also know now that we need to make sure that the shots that we get are of motivated/enthusiastic actors/actresses because it can change the whole mood of the project.
A fun thing that I learned that will also be helpful with shooting on the green screen is rotoscoping. This was my first time, learning + attempting to rotoscope; it's pretty awesome, but takes more time than I had for this rough edit deadline. And it was definitely quicker to do with a green screen than without.
Below is the speculative 1, take 1 video of sound checking. I realized towards the second half how bad of angles that we took the video at, as I couldn't figure out which part of the routine the actress was at.
videos coming soon of the speculative + first attempt at our clear people + rotoscoping with a green screen video.

indie culture. photoshoot.
Today we photographed Little Leigh for the band page of Resound. Although not a real band yet, we set up a photo shoot aimed at what one of the bands who may use our cross platform app looked like. We will be going forward + using Little Leigh for our touchscreen soundcheck.

indie culture. speculative navigation size user test.
I was trying to figure out if the navigation size was the best ratio for users. The best way I had to test that was by using a tester! I kept the navigation size the same in both instances, I simply worked with how large the screen was projected on the wall. Based on these tests, I believe that the smallest the speculative should be projected for the knob to be adequately used is 66 inches by 105 inches ( 5.5 feet by 8.75 feet).
tested screen for size.
projected at a height of 48 inches and 76 inches wide.
close up of 48 inches height, hand closed is about 1/2 of the knob's width.

indie culture. storyboard sketches. take 1.
below are the first sketched storyboards of our three minute video to cover all three technologies of Resound. We wanted it to be one large scenario between artist + advocate that covered our technologies and built a telling story of what Resound can be.

indie culture. speculative designed screens. progress
MML feedback.
*experience + soundcheck are the same, add into one.
*change word for description
*change locate to "nearby" or similar word
*when click venue, have go to page that prompts to look up venue (make more narrative + instructions, not buttons)
*have back button or somehow to navigate backwards during steps
*have save + play not submit when done live recording (maybe an animation)
*use siri type visual for vocal lines, current is too disconnected
*use keyboard icon not current querty + keys
*navigation on pages is too sporadic, make cohesive
