Seven Analog Design Elements attempt one

For one of the beginning steps of Project1: Typographic Campaign we were to create seven digital compositions illustrating each element of design: anomaly, concentration, direction, gradation, repetition, space, and texture. These were my first attempts. Not only was each composition to emphasize a design element, but they were also to relate to our quote that we will be using later steps.

my quote: “Design is the application of intent - the opposite of happenstance, and an antidote to accident.” -Robert L. Peters

anomaly
dissimilar or irregular element in an already set structure

concentration
placement of elements to create a focused pressure point

direction
verall feeling of movement in a general dominant direction

gradation

creates a feeling of movement

repetition

reiteration of elements

space

dimensions of a piece based on elements and place

texture
illusion of a surface that is not flat or smooth
