HYPOTHESIS: what happens when you add a third level to the hierarchy? what happens if those letters come from the already made composition? what happens if it's laid behind the original/main composition?
WHAT I DID: I first did two small tests of two different hierarchy layouts that I was working with. I printed them out at 11 x 17 inches and overlaid them on the light table. I worked with a full black text layout and then a only black text for the third hierarchy level, the "dream big" and put the rest of the text at 50% black. For the actual experiment I printed and tiled the compositions to be 24 x 36 inches; I printed one full black and two with 50% black text.
OUTCOME: Although the first layout had good contrast when up close(good interaction of type), it lacked the subtlety that I was looking for; it read a bit too distracting between the "dream big" and the actual narrative. The second layout worked pretty well, especially the 50% black text; it read with more texture and difference between the paper + ink. I was really intrigued in how much texture and personality could be seen within simply one page on the light table vs the overlapping of 2 or three posters. The overlapping and use of difference in text color added a 3D aspect to the work; almost giving it a different physical body.

*guide the viewer through the narrative/experience with photos or hierarchy changes

*nice depth of field with paper overlap

*think about trying to control amount of toner from the printer on papers

*think about TV screen size photographs documenting the narrative in a room

*don't have all verbs pulled out, think about pulling words or phrases for added emphasis
