my subculture. the persuasive. mood boards/panels.

My "chosen from a hat" subculture is the American Mafia. The American Mafia is an italian-american secret criminal society in cities scattered throughout the United States. They were a big proponent in alcohol distribution, especially during the Prohibition. They practically owned the cities that they were based in, paying off police officers + chiefs to let them continue their illegal means, killing as they wanted either for revenge or get rid of competition. The Mafia still exists today.

panel1: the consumer.
The specifics of this consumer is: a fan of Mafia/gangster films, male, 20s-60s, lower to upper middle class really wanting to be wealthy, is self-motivated to attain goals often relating to own or loved ones, either has the perfect family or lover/significant other, needs to hold dominance + prove that he has power/prove himself, dresses formal or fashionable (often a suit+tie), often wears expensive jewelry to further show off wealth+power, money is power, violence is useful+needed to maintain power status, weapons are useful in protection of loved ones, friends+family should always be avenged, there's nothing better than his significant other, his sports car and alcohol. Even though women are not in the target audience, there is a high chance that women too will become customers, especially those that want to be dominated/told what to do.

panel 2: the usage scenario.
This is the how + where the product would/will be consumed. The product is alcohol, most likely a dark hard liquor; a higher end/more expensive brand. Consumption and/or purchase would take place at casinos, horse races, dinner parties, weddings, birthdays, barbecues, bars, restaurants, at the kitchen table, etc. The alcohol would be sipped out of expensive + beautiful glasses and may often be drank with cigarettes or cigars.

panel 3: the inspiration.
The inspiration for these products is heavily coming from the 1920s, fashion + gangsters from the Prohibition Era. Hand-drawn or vintage typography will most likely be used on the packaging design. The aim is for it to not only say gangsters but also exclusive and expensive but worth all the hassle.

feedback:
*add more imagery in the consumer that shows that they are heavily family related.
*think about changing the consumer to be the woman/female; it'd be interesting + great addition in my 20 second elevator speech
*focus on elegant but murderers/violent
*think of Detroit as inspiration?
*maybe liquor+cigars?
*heavily rely on reveal for packaging, to show the other side
*be unexpected with the audience
*figure keywords + label panels

more images to now be added to consumer(to make more emotional less violent).
