The overall collection pinned up.
Univers Upper Case - I kept with the sliced look to draw emphasis to the long legs. The piece looks much better with crisp and straight ends than ripped paper.
Garamond Lower Case - I was attempting to put emphasis on the solid baseline of Garamond as well as bring in the fact that the characters are "humanlike." My attempt at this was semi successful, I should have put more emphasis on the solid baseline and structure of the form, vs. the "humanlike" characteristic.
Bodoni Lower Case - My intent was to put emphasis on the elegant, "mechanical" look to the form. I put the main emphasis on the curves of the M and added the legs for the mechanical look. I thought of repetition so I was trying to figure out how to work the legs into the piece, and it was semi successful. I couldn't figure out the best place for the third leg where the piece would not fully feel heavy towards one side.
