This article focuses on how computers were once more so an appliance than simply a medium to express. Over the years, however, the computer has become a medium for expression more than it has become simply another machine to use daily. If you will, it more so has become one with our lives and has continued to serve more as an aide and secondary nature to use than a nuisance. The article also talks about how designers had to conquer this the computer and its coding once the Internet became a thing. It spoke about how there was a transitional period of figuring out how print design translated to web design into a more attractive front.
This is extremely interesting to me; it reminds me of what I first started to learn a computer at school, in elementary school. Our focus at that point was mainly educational, with a hint of games or other interaction of individuals. I grew up with it as fun, and it has become a career mainly + secondary has continued to be an education tool, which is a very fascinating thought for me; there is a beautiful cycle going on. I also realized while reading how the Internet really is used to people to express themselves in all of these variety of formats from websites, blogs, photos, porn, music, membership sites, and etc. It's really amazing to think how this technology was further embraced and ingrained in our daily lives vs like any other appliance that really lives only a short time before we replace it with something newer and "better."
