POV Asset Variation Process

For a few of the assets that I used, I found the original image on the internet.  For those assets I needed to make them my own.  I did this by editing the images to add more meaning and give me more ownership over the idea and image.  It was difficult for me because when I normally edit photos I want to make it rough and edgy.  I like my images to have a harsh texture, design, or color palette; which often gives off a "Photoshop" look.  So I struggled to make the images my own, but keep them less "Photoshop."  Below is a shot of the different variations I had for a handprint that I was working on to stand for memory.  I first tried to just do a photocopy of my hand, but could not get that to work and look good.  I ended inking my hand and scanning it on a copier then bringing that into Photoshop and adding to the original handprint.
